Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry simply means restoring your tooth as much as possible using the most conservative methods. If less than 1/3rd of your tooth is missing upon removing decay, we are able to perform a simple filling procedure. However, if more than 1/2 of your tooth is missing due to fractures, decay or breakage, then we support the teeth with a crown. Our expert doctors use xrays and intraoral photos to determine the best plan of action for your tooth so that we can maintain it for as long as possible.

Painless Long Lasting Dental Fillings
Composite resins are matched to be the same color as your teeth and therefore used where a natural appearance is desired. The ingredients are mixed and placed directly where the cavity was removed, and we harden the filling material with a light. Composites may not be the ideal material for large fillings as they may cause further fractures of the teeth, or may even fracture themselves because fillings are not designed to replace large areas such as missing cusps. They can also become stained from coffee, tea or tobacco, and do not last as long as other types of fillings generally from three to 10 years.
Porcelain fillings are called inlays are produced to order in a lab and then bonded to the tooth. They can be matched to the color of the tooth and resist staining. A porcelain restoration generally covers most of the tooth.
